Intensive English Language Program - IELP

Program Description

The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) at the International University of Monaco is designed for students who wish to improve their English for admission to a university degree program and who plan to sit the iBT TOEFL examination.

The program is aimed at undergraduate and graduate candidates, but is open to anyone interested in learning English. Learners must have at least an intermediate level of English. To find out more about level evaluation, please send an email to Fabienne Chauderlot at fchauderlot@monaco.edu.

This full-time, demanding course of study, with its rigorous curriculum, strict attendance policy and high volume of homework, requires a strong commitment. Classes meet five days a week over either a 12-week term or a special 4-week summer session.

Students are assessed on a continuous basis through quizzes, presentations, essays and weekly practice TOEFL exams. At the end of their course, they pass the iBT TOEFL examination, a standardized test of English proficiency which generally takes place on the IUM campus.

A Certificate of Completion is awarded for successful completion of a course. No university credit is earned.
