Intensive English Language Program - IELP

Welcome to the Summer English Program (SEP) of the International University of Monaco.

Students who are approaching readiness for academic study but need to reinforce their fluency, reading, listening writing and grammar will benefit from this course. Students meet 30 hours a week over 4 weeks and take the iBT TOEFL test at the end of the course. TO APPLY
Pre-requisite: At least 16 years of age and placement test.

  Course Goals
  To confidently use spoken and written English for both academic and social purposes
  To comfortably participate in paired and small group discussion
  To develop listening and comprehension in English
  To use English to research current topics
  To be proficient in presentation skills in English
  To take the TOEFL test as proof of improved English skills

  Learning Conditions
  Small group size
  Students of different nationalities
  English and American tutors
  Comfortable and well equipped environment for lab and recording work, and conversation
  A range of teaching groups: Whole class work, Small group work, Paired work , Individual work
  Continuous assessment of learning needs, feedback and target setting

  Resources provided
  Longman IBT Toefl text and CD; recording headphones;Toefl test.
